About the Granger Family

The first records that exist bearing the name Launcelot Granger are in Ipswich, Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1648. He was not the only Granger in the colony at that time but there is no evidence to link him to the other Granger men. It was in Ipswich Launcelot met his wife Joanna Adams, the only daughter of Robert Adams who was a Putitan Minister. Thus began the Granger story in the colonies. Launcelot and Joanna would eventually move to Suffield where they both died. You can read more about Launcelot and Joanna on their page. Only 3 generations will be featured here but a lot of information was found to be shared here.
